Story: Roderick always liked aircrafts since he was a kid. His biggest dream was to fly a fighter jet in the Air Force, nothing different from many other boys. Coming from a humble family [his father was a mechanic and his mother, a teacher], his dream seemed a bit difficult to achieve, but with a lot of hard work, he joined Eshillean Air Force [EsAF] in 2008, at 18. 2 years later, he was already one of the best of his class, taking his Short Tucano trainer bird to the limit. The major feature really was his insane maneuvers in flight; even experienced instructors did not like his attitude of almost ripping the wings of any aircraft he flew. It was in the academy that he gained his nickname and future callsign: Rocketman.
Unfortunately, due to some internal problems [long story], he was dismissed from the Air Force in 2012. Having moved to Wyvernia, he started working for Ratliff Aero as a test pilot, where he met Juan García "Razyr" Stutz. The two became great friends and that led to him meeting Mr. Nathan Ebinger, CEO of Ratliff Resources, the parent company of Ratliff Aero. In 2014, he was hired by the Wyvernian Secret Service [W2S], working alongside Mr. Ebinger and also indirectly helping the Boomslangs in defeating the Ruvanian threat, thus ending the Supercontinental War, in 2017.
During the war, his skills and precision to hit difficult targets made him earn a lot of money in no time...enough to buy his own fighter jet. And he went to acquire his dream aircraft: the Eshillean Electric Lightning, in the F.6 variant, the most advanced that entered service in the EsAF. He found an example that had been sitting at a warehouse for about 30 years after its retirement, in the late 80's. Checking the airframe serial number, Roderick found out it was one of the last examples produced, so it was still fairly new, with plenty of hours left. Roderick put the bird back to airworthy status and began to make a fortune. Despite being old and its original role as an interceptor, the Lightning was still a very capable combat aircraft and Roderick became famous for his ground attacks, specifically strifing runs using 4x gun pods [2 above and 2 below the wings], each with a 30-mm ADEN cannon identical to the aircraft's own 2 units of the same weapon, for a total of SIX [!!] 30-mm cannons raining lead over enemy ground units.
The aircraft originally used very outdated Red Top heat-seeking missiles, but it was modernized to use the Wyvernian AHS-77 "Cukiro" all-aspect units, with a maximum range of 5 miles and capable of supermaneuverability. If needed, Roderick's Lightning can also be equipped with the ARG-10 "Rushaka" medium-range or even the ARG-30 "Karushya" long-range missiles in the over-wing pylons.
The Rolls-Royce Avon turbojet engines were mildly tuned by Ratliff Aero, so now they put out 19,200 lbf of thrust on afterburners, a 20% increase over the original 16,000 lbf value on same condition.

Personality: Despite his lofty and imposing stature that may indicate a man with a hardened personality, Roderick is quite reserved and well-mannered. He doesn't speak loudly and is also quite polite. Another nickname he arned during his Academy days was "Dr. Jekyll"; while flying, he has a totally different attitude, almost like a completely new personality. Up there in the skies, he's fast, he's ruthless and a bit of a maniac, not afraid of almost getting himself killed to get the job done. Not personality-related, but he's also famous for his prominent moustache.
